Brand Strategy Fellowship

LEARN BRAND STRATEGY BY BUILDING IT, NOT STUDYING IT

FALL SEMESTER | APPLICATIONS OPEN THROUGH AUGUST 2026

An educational fellowship with a working agency

Groundfire is a women-owned, minority-led brand strategy and creative agency with roots in Los Angeles, Houston, and Chicago. We're opening a limited number of fellowship spots for students who want real experience in brand strategy, creative direction, and client work, guided directly by our founding team.

What This Is (and Isn’t)

This is an educational fellowship, not a job. You'll learn by working alongside us on real client projects, with a mentor and a defined set of learning objectives built before you start. There's no wage attached, and no promise of employment afterward, though qualified graduates are welcome to apply for future openings like anyone else. Academic credit eligible.

What You’ll Get

A fall semester fellowship built around real client work, direct mentorship from our founding team, and a schedule that respects your coursework. Here's what that actually looks like:

Direct access to real work
Sit alongside our founding team on active client projects, not sample exercises.
Mentorship, not just supervision
A dedicated mentor checks in with you regularly and shapes your learning path.
A schedule built around school
Your fellowship works with your class commitments, not against them.
Academic credit eligibility
We'll work with your school's requirements if credit applies.

How it works

This is for you if:

  • You're a current student looking for real, hands-on brand strategy experience

  • You want mentorship from people actually doing the work, not a classroom simulation

  • You're available in Los Angeles, Houston, Chicago, or New York for the fall semester

  • You're looking to build skills that transfer anywhere in the field, not just at Groundfire
